This is a beautiful hand signed art print/poster from an original illustration of one of the landmarks of the beautiful city of Bath - the Theatre Royal.

This historic theatre was built in 1805 and has been described by the Theatres Trust as "One of the most important surviving examples of Georgian theatre architecture".

Bath is known for its Roman remains, and fine Georgian architecture in honey-coloured local stone. The Romans built temples and baths here to worship and enjoy the natural hot springs, and the city developed as a spa and fashionable resort in the Georgian period. Jane Austen came to live here (much to her annoyance) and used the city as a setting in her novels several times.
